welp...
My name is Mandy and I'm a lost twentysomething.

I don't advertise this baby so if you just happened to stumble upon it, congrats.

Views are my own and are in no way affiliated with the company I work for.
A few weeks ago I was feeling bold and hopeful and decided to send a random e-mail to my favorite musician, Stephen Kellogg of Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers. I asked him what advice he’d give to lost twentysomethings who are still searching for their purpose in life while being forced to grow up at the same time. He wrote me back the next day, and this is what he said:
Hiya Mandy!
Stephen Kellogg. Got your email… I’m not sure I have solid advice to offer… but thanks for the kind words and I’ll say this. The most important thing you can do is keep working to do the best you can. Be awesome in everything you do and be really forgiving of yourself when you aren’t, but keep trying hard. If you don’t know what’s next, that’s ok. Enjoy your health if you’re lucky enough to have it… that sort of thing. For me I spend a lot of time reading and find immense comfort there, too… “How to Win Friends and Influence People” was the one I remember reading in my mid-twenties that I thought was awesome… (-=
Good luck and thanks so much for taking our music into your heart!

I am not a sappy girl, and I am never one to be at a loss for words, but I cannot express how much his response meant to me. It showed me that it’s ok to be lost at times, as long as you’re always trying to be the best version of “you” that you can be. And really, that’s all I needed.
If you haven’t checked out Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers’ latest album, “Gift Horse,” you should. Much of it is about growing up.
